Why Mediation . . .?      Its the "Anti-Trial."
Now, Appellate Mediation Too!

"Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can.   As a peacemaker the lawyer has superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough."

    -    Abraham Lincoln

Litigation can be expensive, and the outcome in doubt.  Judges and juries are human and can make mistakes.  Even if you win the case, the other side may appeal, and the process grind on.   The system seems to have taken on a life of its own.  Finality seems elusive and your goals may seem farther away than when you began.

"Trial. A formal inquiry designed to prove and put upon record the blameless characters of judges, lawyers and jurors.

-Ambrose Bierce

So, how can you  . . .

  • Reduce costs?
  • Regain control?
  • Have greater input into the final determination of your case?
  • Reduce uncertainty and control the process?
  • Take the decisions about your case out of the hands of the court?

Mediation is a process by which the parties, with the assistance of a neutral third party mediator, engage in a structured negotiation to resolve the various differences between the parties.  You should consider mediation as an alternative before anything is filed.  The sooner the parties engage in mediation, the more they can save in time, aggravation and money.
